Every year in late August, Sitges comes alive for the Festa Major, the town’s grand annual festival honoring its patron saint, Sant Bartolomeu.

For a few unforgettable days, the streets fill with music, tradition, fireworks and spectacular processions. And at the heart of it all is the Drac de Sitges — the legendary fire-breathing dragon, filling the streets with sparks and flames as it makes its way through town.
