There is something utterly magical about New York City at Christmas. The city transforms into a dazzling wonderland where the glow of twinkling lights dances off skyscrapers and crowds move in cheerful waves swept up in the holiday spirit. It is impossible not to feel the festive energy as you stroll past iconic sights like the Rockefeller Center with its towering Christmas tree shining like a beacon of joy. And of course, no holiday season in NYC is complete without our family tradition, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, where the Rockettes kick off Christmas in style at Radio City Music Hall.

For us, New York at Christmas feels like a second home. Year after year we are drawn back to the familiar magic, bundling up in scarves and mittens sipping piping hot chocolate from the Ralph Lauren stand a must stop for the most indulgent cup in the city and watching skaters twirl around the rink at Rockefeller Center. It is not just the landmarks though it is the atmosphere that makes this city one of a kind during the holidays. It is in the bustle of 5th Avenue shoppers the ringing of Salvation Army bells, and the cosy warmth of a corner cafe after escaping the winter chill.

Radio City Hall with its grand art deco design never fails to impress no matter how many times we have visited. As the Rockettes take the stage their high kicks perfectly in sync, we are reminded why this tradition endures, because it is pure holiday joy wrapped up in sequins and spotlight.

As our day in the city draws to a close, we are left with that familiar feeling grateful a little bit tired but fully immersed in the Christmas magic only New York can offer. Until next year, New York.

Hay algo absolutamente magico en Nueva York en Navidad. La ciudad se transforma en un mundo maravilloso y deslumbrante donde el brillo de las luces parpadeantes baila sobre los rascacielos y las multitudinarias olas de alegres visitantes se dejan llevar por el espiritu festivo. Es imposible no sentir la energia festiva al pasear por lugares iconicos como el Rockefeller Center con su imponente arbol de navidad brillando como un faro de alegria. Y por supuesto ninguna temporada navideña en Nueva York esta completa sin nuestra tradicion familiar el Radio City Christmas Spectacular donde las Rockettes dan inicio a la Navidad con estilo en el Radio City Music Hall.

Para nosotros Nueva York en Navidad se siente como un segundo hogar. Año tras año nos atrae de nuevo la magia familiar abrigandonos con bufandas y guantes tomando un chocolate caliente humeante en el puesto de Ralph Lauren una parada obligatoria para disfrutar de la taza mas deliciosa de la ciudad y viendo a los patinadores girar alrededor de la pista en el Rockefeller Center. No se trata solo de los monumentos sino de la atmosfera que hace que esta ciudad sea unica durante las fiestas. Esta en el bullicio de los compradores de la Quinta Avenida el repique de las campanas del Ejercito de Salvacion y la calidez acogedora de un cafe de esquina despues de escapar del frio invernal.

El Radio City Hall con su gran diseño art deco nunca deja de impresionar sin importar cuantas veces lo hayamos visitado. Cuando las Rockettes suben al escenario con sus patadas altas perfectamente sincronizadas recordamos por que esta tradicion perdura porque es pura alegria navideña envuelta en lentejuelas y focos.

A medida que nuestro dia en la ciudad llega a su fin nos quedamos con esa sensacion familiar de agradecimiento un poco cansados pero plenamente sumergidos en la magia navideña que solo Nueva York puede ofrecer. Hasta el año que viene Nueva York.
